Application Process

You are about to embark on The Great Adventure!  Thank you for generously serving the children and families in our church.  The investment you make in this ministry can change the hearts of children forever!

Children’s safety is one of our highest concerns, so we have a fairly rigorous application process.  Please click on the link:

Volunteer Applications & Handbooks
  1. Print and complete BOTH a Volunteer Application AND TGA Addendum
  2. Download and read BOTH volunteer handbooks
  3. Bring your completed Volunteer Application and TGA Addendum to  TGA’s Volunteer Central Kiosk (lower level across from the Fire Truck)
  4.  Have your photo taken at TGA’s Volunteer Central Kiosk when you drop off your application
  5. Attend Adventure Training 101: Orientation on your scheduled date

God led you to TGA… see how He has equipped you to serve in children’s ministry!

Do you have substitute teacher positions? I cannot commit each week, but would like to help. Thank you, Nadine

Hi Nadine, Thanks for the question! The great news about serving in TGA is that you only serve every other week. The best way to get started is to serve as a small group leader for a small group of girls. We have small groups ranging from preschool to 5th grade. Once you get a feel for how the classroom works, then we can discuss large group teaching with you further.

To get started in the serving process, the application is on this website under “Application Process.” We also have training at 8:30am this Sunday, May 29 or Sunday, June 12. You choose one date or the other. Please let me know if you’d like to move forward, and I’ll have Kirk Cribb, Assoc. Dir. of Grade School and Preschool contact you. Thanks! Kim Huffman, Children’s Director
